The artist applies the henna, but to get the darkest stain, you need to follow these instructions:
It’s important to follow these steps to get the best, most vibrant henna stain!
- Pre-Henna Care:
- Avoid oils and lotions on your skin before doing henna.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before applying henna.
- Drying Time:
- The paste will dry in approximately 30 minutes.
- The longer the paste stays on your skin, the better the results.
- Post-Application Care:
- Avoid water even as the paste starts flaking off.
- Ideally, avoid water overnight to help the stain set.
- Natural Henna:
- This is not instant henna with dyes and chemicals. The stain develops naturally over time.
- Enhancing the Stain:
- Your stain will get darker if you keep your skin warm.
- Absorb the fumes from cloves or apply Vicks VapoRub to enhance the color.
- Avoid Harsh Products:
- Avoid exfoliating, excessive water, soaps, and alcohol-based products as they can affect the stain.
- Stain Development:
- The stain will initially be orange (fresh stain) and will deepen to a dark brown with maroon undertones in 36 to 48 hours.
